Hallo Andre,
     I got some very interesting information from Mr. Fockele about their method to generate the NC-code for their Stereolithography machine. I think you have heard about their machine. It is nearly the same principle as this from  3D-Systems. New is that they can change the wavelength of the LASER and therefore they can use different materials. Furthermore they do not use the stl-format, but they compute the slices out of the BREP-presentation of the CAD-system ProEngineer. The output-format of the slice-information is the HPGL-Format. They speak about great benefits in accuracy and storage and  published an article about their method in : Der Konstrukteur 4/93 pp. 64-66 I will visit them in two weeks.
