     E&D Design is the result of the merging of Ergonomiadesign Oy and Destem Oy into a full service 
Industrial Design consultancy. E&D's design services cover the entire spectrum of consumer and 
industrial goods. They claim to be the largest industrial design company in the Nordic countries and one 
of the largest in Europe (in turnover? I don't know...)
     They have been using CAD and NC milling since 1988 and the new RP technologies since 1989.
     The CAD systems they use are Intergraph and more recently DeskArtes (a CAD system for industrial 
designers developed and commercialized by another Finnish company with the same name).
     They took part in both the INSTANTCAM and the NOR-SLA projects.
     For prototyping they use NC milling (they have a 3-axis milling machine in-house), high-speed 
milling (the one at Mechanical Eng. Dept. at this University), and RPT (usually the SOLIDER process at 
SINTEF; right Reidar?).
