My comments:
     In Europe,  we have had at least two activities in this field. The Conference in Zurich and a workshop in 
the Netherlands (that was in Go"ttingen, right?). Apparently, the Conference in Zurich will become a regular event.
     Concerning researchers in the medical area, we can certainly include the folks from Materialize n.v., who have developed state-of-the-art software for such applications. They cooperate closely with a Hospital in Leuven, Belgium. If you want to include "end-users" in the list, we can include the folks in Zurich.
     We will also begin activities at this Institute in cooperation with a Cirurgical Hospital, eg.  using medical models for surgery planning ("human" process planning??)  8-)
