Subject: Introduction and request for information
Becton Dickinson is an international company with a primary focus on medical disposables and diagnostic equipment. At our Research Center we have a 3D Systems SLA-250. We have been using this machine for over four years to create prototype parts for various divisions throughout the company. Most of our parts are small and therefore present problems with systems having a large layer thickness. We are currently running our SLA-250 with CIBA SL5170 epoxy resin and a 0.004 inch layer thickness. We are now looking to expand into the rapid tooling arena. Current projects include investment casting of prototype injection molds and other components. We would be very interested in hearing about others experience with small parts and rapid tooling.
