To expand a bit on your message ... Supposedly, CAD systems that use the ACIS
kernal can read and write SAT files, the file type developed by Spatial
Technologies. SAT files are machine-independent geometry files that contain
topological and surface information on models created using ACIS-based solid
modelers. AutoCAD Release 13, for example, offers the ACISIN and ACISOUT
commands which read and write SAT files, respectively.
