To the RP community:
I am a new subscriber and would like to introduce myself to all 'yunz'
netters out there. Yunz is Pittsburgh colloquial for 'you ones,' similar to
y'all, in case you were wondering. Anyway, I am a MechE in a small research
lab doing Orthopaedic Biomechanics Research. Our main foci are bone and soft
tissue mechanics, fracture/injury/reconstruction modelling, and total joint
replacement mechanics. We are currently considering possibilities of using
STL with photoelastic resins for stress/strain analysis.

Since we are new to RP in general, I would like to hear from any and all who
may have experience with STL and photoelasticity, especially in the context
of skeletal modelling. If you don't have directly applicable experience,
how about comments or references on the feasibility of such.
Thanks in advance.
Tom
