Yes, Ian, I am familiar with the software called CIMATRON.  The real strength
of their package is in their NC toolpath generation.  I consider this to be
one of the finest available.  An individual who has extensive experience as an
operator of this software is Tim Demming from Motorola in Boynton Beach FL.
He can be reached at "tdemming@pts.mot.com"  I used to work with Tim, and he
has high praise for CIMATRON.  I had the CIMATRON folks (Dan Marinac and Lisa
Mann) do a demo on a real tooling project at our Utah facility and they did a
great job.  We are in the process of purchasing a few seats.  As for its
ability to produce a good .stl file, I have not given it a good shakedown.
