I am unfamiliar with the Shaw process.  Could you explain its principles?  As 
for your comments regarding the parting line being of less significance for 
tooling components, I agree.  However one area where investment casting seems 
to hold the solution is in integrally cast cooling channels for injection mold 
(and other) tooling.  Any ideas as to how this could be done with plaster 
casting or other metal-making processes?
