Nordic greetings!
For your information, the mailing list has broken the 500 barrier:
we are now about 516 subscribers.
Gone are the days when we all knew each other by name; if anyone cares to
look, the first entries in the mailing list contain the name in addition
to the e-mail address. Unfortunately, the mail server does not bother
with such frivolous matters.
Would someone out there be interested in looking at the e-mail addresses
and make a survey? Something like how many different countries, how many
companies, etc... some statistics that is easy to gather just by looking
at the e-mail addresses. In this way, we would have a better idea of
who is hanging on this list.
Regards, Andre'

[Andre's note: it seems like the subscriptions, to some extent, reflect
the geography of installed base of RP machines.]

Andre
I got the current list from majordomo and then did a quick analysis
on my computer. After eliminating duplications (there were quite a
few) the 500 dropped to 445. Some statistics:

	U.S. Commercial 188
	U.S. Educational 75
	U.S. Military 8
	U.S. Org. 4
	U.S. Government 8
	Total U.S. 283

	Austria 3
	Australia 10
	Belgium 2
	Brazil 2
	Canada 14
	China 1
	Germany 21
	Finland 13
	Hong Kong 2
	Ireland 2
	Israel 2
	India 1
	Italy 5
	Japan 2
	Korea 5
	Malaysia 1
	Netherlands 8
	Norway 6
	Portugal 2
	Sweden 5
	Singapore 13
	Taiwan 5
	United Kingdom 22
	South Africa 3

There were a few I could not identify ( 13 ending in .net). More
analysis would be needed to determine number of companies, etc.
