Our lab runs a SLA 250 since 1991 mostly for medical and
anthropological models (see IEEE Computer Graphics and Applications,
November 1995, about Rapid Prototyping Technology [ What about the
term "real vertuality" for RP-technologies proposed by P.Stucki (my
boss) J.Bresenham and R.Earnshaw??] )
In co-operation with the University Hospital of Zurich we performed
a study about the use of RP-models in trauma surgery. The results
were presented at the very interesting workshop on "Rapid
Prototyping in Medicine and Computer-assisted surgery" in
Erlangen/Germany. (Papers on that study are prepared but not yet
accepted). A few talks in Erlangen were related to craniofacial surgery.

The European Action on Rapid Prototyping (EARP) published a special
medical edition of their EARP-Newsletter (ask Niels Moos DTI
Teknologiparken, DK-8000 Aarhus C, Fax: ++45 8943 8425)
3D-system's latest issue of "the Edge" also is dedicated to medical
applications (Interesting also page 11 on 3D-systems new Multi-Jet
Modeling technology).
If there are papers on RP and medicine, I'm interested too.
