US ENGINEERING CONSORTIUM ACQUIRES RIGHTS TO
DUPONT SOLID IMAGING TECHNOLOGY

AAROFLEX, Inc. has acquired certain rights to stereolithography technology
and machinery developed and patented by the E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company.
Commercialization activities are currently underway at the Company's
metropolitan Washington, DC headquarters.  

To prove the AAROFLEX technology and equipment in the marketplace, the
Company's Advanced Imaging and Manufacturing (AIM) division has already begun
to provide modeling and related consulting services utilizing the AAROFLEX
equipment.  The AIM operation is the first full-service rapid prototyping
company in the Mid-Atlantic and showcases the region's first commercial
stereolithography system.  While the technological centerpiece of AIM is the
AAROFLEX Solid Imager, AIM also provides computer aided engineering utilizing
ProENGINEER and AutoCAD, finite element analysis, limited run production,
visualization and marketing and manufacturing consultation.  

AAROFLEX, Inc. has the advantage of appointment as an authorized distributor
of the DuPont Somos solid imaging materials, ranging from the only flexible
materials to the newest epoxy-based materials.  AAROFLEX models are currently
produced using the new high-accuracy epoxy-based DuPont Somos 6100.  The
AAROFLEX distributor relationship with DuPont will position AAROFLEX to take
early advantage of future DuPont materials, which are anticipated to include
reinforced materials that offer enhanced mechanical and thermal properties.

AAROFLEX, Inc. is a member of the AAROTEC Group, a consortium of
international engineering and design firms headquartered in Fairfax,
Virginia, USA, which includes the fifty-year-old Airways Engineering
Corporation.
