Andy,

The SLA Usergroup was founded by the 5 original corporate BETA members of
3D Systems SLA1 beta program. The original group included General Motors,
Pratt Whitney, Baxter Health Care, Amp, and Eastman Kodak. It was not
intended to be an open forum to other technologies, rather to help each
other and future owners of 3D Systems equipment in the use of the SLA
product line, present and future. Just as the DTM usergroup is specific to
the DTM SinterStation so is this founding Stereolithography Usergroup
specific to the 3D Systems product line. A ratical rewritting of the groups
charter would be required to accomplish your inquiry.

If any new group is to be formed, it should in my opinion, be a seperate
group from the original one since not all members would likely have the
assortment of machines that is available today. The name "Stereolithography"
was coined by 3D Systems specifically to describe their technology. It has
been somehow intermingled with other technologies and become in some circles
a generic term. I would think "Stereolithography Like" is a more
appropriate term.

You may have a case for forming a new and seperate RP technology usergroup.

Thanks for listening
