Innovation Now Conference--Call for Case Studies

From: Preston Smith (preston@europa.com)
Date: Tue Aug 13 1996 - 19:51:14 EEST

The Innovation Now Conference was a great success earlier this year, with
21 leading companies showing how they brought successful new products to
market quickly by exploiting new methods, like rapid prototyping (although
the scope of the conference is much broader than just rapid prototyping).
Now is your opportunity to participate in the 1997 conference by
presenting a case study on how you have done product development. The
call for case studies follows.

Preston Smith

1997 Case Study Submission Procedures

=============================================================>

To submit your recent experiences for a case study, please prepare an
abstract of roughly 100 words. It should include an outline of the
following information:

The Challenge
What were your obstacles and constraints?
What were your goals and expectations?

Useful Tools
What techniques did you employ that others might use immediately?

The Big Lesson
What new ideas did you discover about process?
How did your team work?

Success and Results Lastly, provide a measure of your success with evidence of
what you achieved.

Your abstract should have a descriptive, compelling title. Addressing your
case study to one of the themes (Customer and Market Focus, Effective Teams, or
Key Challenges in the Process) is helpful, but by no means required.

On a second page, list: The name(s) of the presenter(s), company
name, division or business unit, address, telephone number, fax, and e-mail
address. Provide a summary of presenter's presentation experience and
skills, with two references and their telephone numbers. E-mail
applications are preferred, but not required.

Additional guidelines for submission:

* The abstract should provide the requested information.
* The topic itself should be engaging and relate to one of the conference
session themes.
* The presenter is a leader at a firm relevant to the electronics or software
industries.
* The case study demonstrates both effective and ineffective processes and
techniques, and also provides lessons attendees can use right away.
* The presentation should not make a sales pitch.

E-mail (preferred), fax, or mail applications by Friday, September 6, to:
