Dear Prototypers and Tooling Specialists,

We are searching for experience in tool-production with the integration
of Rapid-Prototyping-Techniques.
In our special case we want to test different ways from the RP-model to:

1) Deep-drawing tools for sheet metal forming and
2) Building of tools for injection-moulding.

We have tested a way with the following steps:
        - Building a RP-Mould (negative part of the tool)
        - Casting with a special concrete material and with resins
        - Demoulding of the tool (positive tool)
        - Testing the tool with aluminium on a special rubber-pad-forming-press
The tests where successful for the production of up to 100 sheet metal
parts.
(See paper at
http://www.biba.uni-bremen.de/projects/hyprform/shemet.html)

Now we want to know more about other ways of Rapid-Tooling with RP.

Perhaps you are interested in an exchange of information with us.
Is there anybody out there with experience in the mentioned subject
(especially for sheet metal forming) ?

We are an Institute at the University of Bremen, Germany, and our work
areas are industrial technology and applied work science. We are working
with RP techniques since 1989.
