ESTEEMED COMPANIES TO SHARE INNOVATIVE IDEAS FOR SUCCESS AT SECOND ANNUAL
AEA INNOVATION NOW CONFERENCE

Mark your calendars -- the American Electronics Association's (AEA)
Innovation Now Conference is right around the corner. This year's
conference, to be held February 19-20 at the Oregon Convention Center in
Portland, promises to be even bigger and better than last year's successful
conference.
The 1997 Innovation Now Conference will feature five keynote speakers who
will offer valuable insight and practical experience on meeting innovation
challenges in upcoming years. In addition, 28 innovative leaders from
electronics, software and information technology companies such as 3M,
Hewlett-Packard, Honeywell, Intel and Motorola, will showcase how they have
innovated to bring products to market and have improved overall
organization performance.
          Case study themes will include:
          * Developing winning products in record time
          * Implementing team-based processes that save time
          * Organizing and managing for innovation
          * Innovating in a tight labor market
          * Innovating in large companies
The conference is sponsored by Sun Microsystems Inc., Mentor Graphics
Corp., Tektronix, Inc., and Oregon Economic Development Department, IEEE
Oregon Section, Software Association of Oregon, and Oregon Multimedia
Alliance.
