Patent Infringement?

On a recent press release to this mailing list, a company claimed to
have a better material for the Helisys LOM systems. My reading of the
patents that Helisys controls indicates a potential problem with third
party suppliers providing these types of materials for the Helisys LOM
machines. In particular, Patents 5,354,414 and 4,752,352 by Michael
Feygin have claims that include the process--not just the apparatus. I
believe that any Helisys user, who uses the subject third party LOM
materials on a Helisys system, is in violation of both of these patents,
unless a license is first obtained from Helisys.

Are there any other opinions on this subject?

Al Hastbacka
