We use the desktop mills to do Hi speeed machining (10K+ RPM) of Al,
Plastic & copper for EDM electrodes.
We are an imaging products company & 75% of our parts fit in a 6"x4"x1
1/2" envelope.
For our use they are a very cost effective way to get a Hi speed
machine.
We started with two machines in '88. These were only good for our
plastic parts, but the newer machines are much sturdier.
Just a little info. You really have to invest in what works for you.
