The free STL TOOLBOX program at http://206.65.88.5/tools.htm will read an
STL file and write an IGES surface file that can be read by most CAM
programs. This has been tested with CAMAX software, and one caveat would be
that a LOT of surfaces are generated...one for every triangle.
Note: This program has hefty memory requirements and needs a good Pentium
or better to run.
