Short answer: yes.
     
Long, geek-ified answer:
A scanned area needs energy dose, E to get the correct cure depth, Cd.
        E = P/(W*v)
where E is the energy dose (J/cm^2), P is laser power (J/sec), W is the
beam width (cm) and v is linear scan velocity (cm/sec). Simple math.
