In addition to Cimatron and Powermill, consider DeskProto from Delft Spline
Systems. A friend and I tried it about a year ago and found it to work
quite well. Compared to other CAM packages, DeskProto is inexpensive
(US$1,700). The product was designed specifically to work with STL files.

I believe Delcam's DUCT product also supports STL, although I don't have
direct experience with it.

Good luck!

P.S. How private is private e-mail? Is it difficult for someone to tap
into the contents of private e-mail messages over the Internet?
