Sure, Joe, it's possible, on _your_ system. I think Michael's looking for
somethbing like the software time bombs Netscape and such use to keep
buggy beta code from being forever used.

STL is a data file. It can't do anything to itself. You can, as you
suggest, have a watchdog that purges outdated files, or you could change
the STL spec to include such an expiration date, assuming everybody
adheres to it with their viewers and politely follows the rules. <haha>

Unfortunately, the only viable answer now is the one suggested before
