There is a program called IGES/Works (International TechneGroup, Inc)
(http://www.iti-oh.com) that allows you to validate, fix, and manipulate
IGES files in almost any way possible. It has no STL capabilities.

I need some helpful hints,
My customers have been having tons of problems exporting proper
IGES and STL files.
Does anyone out there in RP land have any solutions to translating
files fromAutocad 13 (Autodesk)... to IGES or STL? We use Surfacer/RPM,
Pro-E and Alias/Wavefront.
Problems: IGES from Autocad 13
- generates bad entities.
- no surfaces.
Problems: STL from Autocad 13
- simply bad files.
Does anyone use Autocad 13? How would you export properly?
