A LOM machine from Helisys was used to make a 10" pumpkin last
Halloween. This
was not as crazy as it would have been on most RP systems because of the
LOM
machine's large part envelope and low materials cost.

The same machine has also been used to prototype some new parts for the
machine
itself, with good results.
