The paper "LEAF: A Data Exchange Format for LMT Process"
has detailed description of LEAF file format. You can
find it in "The Proc. of the 3rd Int. Conf. on Rapid
Prototyping", Dayton, Ohio, USA.(Jun. 1992)
Courtesy the authors A. Dolenc and I. Maherla.

CLI file format is described in detail at web site:
http://www.cranfield.ac.uk/coa/rapid/cli/cli_v20.html
Courtesy Cranfield University.

LEAF format is developed in the INSTANTCAM project and
CLI format is developed in the Brite-Euram RPT project.
CLI file format is generated based on LEAF file format
(I'm sorry if I'm wrong).

As I know, there are several RP systems which can accept
CLI file format as a slicing file format, for example LOM
system. There are some software which can generate CLI
files as well, for example MagicRP(Materialise) and
STLView7.0. You can get free trial versions of these software
and generate CLI files yourself.
