PVD Coating of SLA Parts

Dear All,

I have had a number of enquiries relating to metal coating SLA parts by PVD
since my posting on this list.

I am not an expert in the process itself - rather we had some parts coated
with Al by a specialist company: Multi-arc (UK) Limited. The company is
Swiss owned with sites around Europe and the US (17 coating centres I
think).

I don't think they had any experience with SLA parts before our project, but
they had no problems at all, and I was impressed with the surface
finish/integrity of the coating.

Rather than give any information on a process with which I am not familiar,
I am giving contact details for the UK office. The UK web site has
signposts to the main US site.

I have telephoned Andrew Frost and he is prepared for a barrage of enquiries
from the rapid manufacturing community.

I hope you can all find interesting uses for this technology, and I would be
grateful for any feedback.
