Ingrid,
Here is my experience with 4.1.1. I have installed this software on three SLA500s and one SLA350. All four machines were running on NT and 4.0.

1. Installation is a breeze. It took me less than 5 minutes to install the software on each machine. It might be longer, if you should install NT also.
2. Building good parts for over four weeks.
3. Has some very neat features like build time estimator (much accurate), smart power (you don't need to crank power up or down manually anymore), improved log, remote notification (I've not tried this feature yet) and very friendly interface for machine diagnostics and a ton of other features.
4. Looks like is bug free. It is too early to say this with certainty though.
5. Correctly uses planar model to calculate photo speeds when vectors overlap.
6. I don't think 1.8 can be used once you install 4.1.1 (because "Mover" cannot be used anymore.)

This is the best software product I've ever seen released by 3D.
Kamesh

PS: Note down which "Geo-file" your machine is currently using before you install 4.1.1. Make sure 4.1.1 uses the same file for part building.

I anyone using the new 4.1 NT software for the SLA500?
If so: Does the modem work?
       Any build problems?
       Networking problems?
Can you switch between NT and 1.8?
