Lynda,
There are a number of solvents (Dichloromethane, Trichloromethane,
Dioxane, Pyride) that will dissolve these resins. However, the main
problem is that there is also an associated expansion of the resin which
could cause cracking/distortion of the plated shell.
We found Nitric acid very effective in dissolving QuickCast parts out of
ceramic shells! However, depending on the material you are plating this
could also give you problems!!
