It appears the attachment was infected with a virus.
This leads me to a suggestion for the list. I don't think it
is necessary to send attachments to the list. Rather, ask
interested parties to reply directly, or suggest ftp site
where file would be available. I realize it's not as
convenient, but our harddrives are filling up quickly with
some of these attachments.
