Subject: IGS TO STL SOFTWARE

Hi rpīs,

I want to know about the easiest software I can use to create STL files
from CAD data, where can I get it from and how much is it
(approximately). For example from igs to STL.

Thanks for your help

Raul

There is another cheaper way to convert IGES file to STL file:
1. Use 3D View(Actify:www.actify.com) read in IGES file
2. Save it as VRML1.0 file. 3D View save it with a very simple file format,
which contains the coordinate(point) (and normal) information
3. Make a small program, convert the VRML1.0(3D viewer exported) file to
   a STL file.

It's very cheap and not so difficult. You needn't pay thousands of dollars for
a special translator.

BTW, I'm not sure about 3D View's IGES ability. And I'm also wondering why
3D View cannot export a STL file.
