Hello Neil and list.

Please disregard this response. I was referring to epoxy composite tools,
not AIM tools, although some of the same principal may apply. We have very
little experience with AIM Tools.

((In response to your questions.

1.Freeze time or cycle time can be anywhere from 20 seconds to 5 minutes,
depending on size and mass of part. This is also dependant on type of
epoxy and mold construction. Water lines help lot.

2.We typically eject the part immediately

3.The cooling time would be included in the cycle time stated above. Some
times we will use a cold air nozzle to help cool quicker. We have found
that drastic temperature changes will decrease the tool life. In the old
days we even took the inserts out and cooled them in ice.))
