I would like to applaud the excellent discussions on lab safety.
One of the other aspects of my life includes being an Emergency Medical
Technician (EMT) for our rural fire department. We recently lost a
classmate from an allergic reaction to the latex contained in the gloves we
wear as part of our personal protective equipment! It seems extream when
we can lose our life to the contents of our protective gear (or the powders
applied to make them more comfortable).
