Several years ago there was a workshop at Carnegie Melon sponsored by NSF
on the subject of data formats for fabricators (I think they called it SFF,
another synonym for RP) . I think the report is on the Web somewhere.
I wrote a paper for that workshop on my views of what a format that
replaces StL should be like. If there is interest I will post the paper on our
Web site.
