Lower-Cost SLS(R) Selective Laser Sintering Technology

AUSTIN, Texas, July 13 /PRNewswire/ DTM Corporation (Nasdaq: DTMC)
today announced the availability of a lower-cost, entry-level rapid
prototyping and manufacturing package based on refurbished Sinterstation(R)
2000 systems. These machines were previously used by DTM for training,
demonstration, and development. This special package will be available
until the supply of these Sinterstation(R) 2000 systems is exhausted.

According to Kevin McAlea, DTM's Vice President of Marketing and Business
Development, "With this special package, we will be able to offer SLS
capabilities to a wider group of customers. The Sinterstation 2000 system
has proven to be a durable, reliable platform, and is able to process all
of the currently available commercial materials. This capability includes
our newest materials, DuraForm(TM) Polyamide and DuraForm GF
(glass-filled), RapidSteel(TM) 2.0, and Copper Polyamide."

DTM's Sinterstations utilize SLS(R) selective laser sintering technology to
create three-dimensional objects by using a CO2 laser to fuse plastic,
metal, and ceramic powders. Current commercial SLS materials can be used to
make functional models, sand casting cores and molds, expendable patterns
for investment casting, injection molding tools and pressure die casting
tools.

In addition to a refurbished Sinterstation 2000 system, the package will
also include a Breakout Station, an initial quantity of DuraForm(TM)
Polyamide material, as well as installation, user training, and a 90-day
warranty. An option to extend the warranty to a full year also is
available. The ex- factory base price for the refurbished Sinterstation
2000 package in North America will be US$149,000.

DTM Corporation develops, manufactures, and markets the Sinterstation
family of rapid prototyping products for application in the growing rapid
manufacturing marketplace. The company's products are sold, serviced, and
supported directly through DTM in North America, England and Germany, and
through agents and distributors worldwide.
