Steve & Jim & all,

Exactly the point of an international conference. Maybe sharing is not
common anymore in the US, but elsewhere it is. The RP market is not as
competitive(?) outside the US and as I said, most machines are captive
or in the hands of academics. This means that sharing information is
not threating, only helpful.

I find it a shame that the US RP community has closed itself. Free
transfer of information allows more stable and faster growth benefiting
all. No shared information leads to stagnancy. (Hmmmm, sound
familiar?)
