Dear RP community:
You are invited to participate in the SME (Society of Manufacturing
Engineers) Region 2 Career Fair on 16th October 1998, an important part of
our annual regional conference. This is the first of such event ever
sponsored by SME Region 2 and we look forward to your presence which will
make this event a great success.
The Career Fair will be available to many college students from fifteen
universities and colleges in the States of North Carolina, Tennessee,
Virginia, and West Virginia. SME is an international professional society
dedicated to serving its members and the manufacturing community through the
advancement of professionalism, knowledge and learning. If your company has
manufacturing related job openings, either permanent or internship, you will
be at the right place to recruit from a great pool of students. The
universities and colleges are: Gaston College, North Carolina A&T State
University, Western Carolina University, Central Piedmont Community College,
Rowan-Cabarrus Community College, East Carolina University, Forsyth
Technical College, Wake Technical Community College, University of North
Carolina, East Tennessee State University, Old Dominion University, Virginia
Polytechnic Institute & State University, Norfolk State University,
Tidewater Community College, and Virginia State University.
The Career Fair will be held at Raleigh Marriott Crabtree Valley in Raleigh,
North Carolina, located right across the Crabtree Valley Mall. The Fair
starts at 2:00 PM and ends at 5:00 PM and you can schedule appointments with
some more prospect students after 5:00 since most of the participating
students will lodge in the Marriott Hotel. There is no registration fee
required, however, you are welcome to contribute funds and/or scholarship to
the SME Region 2 or any of the student chapters. There will be also many
senior members participating the annual conference, your opportunity of
finding an experienced senior engineer is great. Please fill out the
