Dear David and List,

Carlos Sequin is quite an interesting person. By profession he an
educator in computer science at UC Berkely. He got interested in
sculpture through Brent Collins who intuitively created sculptures based
on first order mathematical surfaces. Through that relationship he ended
up writing a program with which you can design various 1rst order
mathematical surfaces for stl output. Most of his sculptures have been
made this way.

You can view some of the many projects he is involved at the following
web site:

http://http.cs.berkeley.edu/~sequin/

He has also proposed and is working a new CAD file standard.

I greatly admire his work.

best,
