Dear List

Many thanks to all who replied to my question about CAD modelling Swiss Cheese. Some of you were particularly interested in having a go at the model. Unfortunately I am unable to post the part on the net because it is commercially sensitive. If you want to see if you can find a solution to the problem you might want to try the following.

1. Model a cone 75mm dia and 150mm high
2. create an array of spheres 2mm dia overlapping each othe by 0.2mm (don't worry about the structure being face centered or body centered it isn't important)
3. Wait for your computer for ages as the last bit is hard work!!!!!
4. Unite the spheres.
5. Subtract the spheres from the cone.
6. Reboot your computer
7. If stage 6 did not happen or you found another way then mail me PLEASE!!!!!!!

I'm using UG on an SG Octane with 256MB of memory and 1GB of swap and an R10000 processor so the sys admin guy tells me

Thanks a lot
