C-MOLD Announces 3D QuickFill Version 99.1; Latest Release Sets New Standards
for CAD Integration, Cost Estimations, Personal Productivity, and Web
Publishing
(Business Wire; 11/17/98)

LOUISVILLE, KY. (Nov. 17) BUSINESS WIRE -Nov. 17, 1998--C-MOLD, a global
supplier of advanced and desktop plastics CAE applications, announces 3D
QuickFill(TM) 99.1, the latest enhancement of the world's leading
solids-based injection molding simulation.

The state-of-the-art technology quickly and easily identifies how to create
and produce the best plastic part design possible.

3D QuickFill 99.1 ensures enterprise-wide improvements in productivity. As
a result of response to user feedback and technical requests, the latest
features include an automatic report generator and a cost-estimation tool.
In addition, as a SolidWorks 98 Plus Gold Partner, 3D Quick Fill 99.1
provides single-window integration and solid model associativity for
SolidWorks users. To bolster efficiency and productivity, there is no need
for SolidWorks users to leave their SolidWorks application to perform a 3D
QuickFill simulation.

As a communications tool, 3D QuickFill 99.1 automatically generates project
reports -- one of the most mundane and time-consuming requirements for most
engineers. The report generator automatically produces a comprehensive,
web- based engineering report complete with high-quality color images that
show simulation results. A video quality animated melt-front advancement in
GIF or AVI format is also included. User-friendly report templates are
provided. Users can also import customized report templates. The HTML
format of the document facilitates its unlimited transportability both
within and outside the user's organization.

Peter Medina, C-Mold's, chief operating officer and senior vice-president
of sales and marketing, says, "We continue to witness overwhelming global
implementation and success of 3D QuickFill. Our customers are experiencing
significant improvements in productivity and profitability as a result of
using the product. In response to them, these new major enhancements
demonstrate our commitment to technological excellence and customer
satisfaction."

Additional enhancements:

-- Cost Cruncher is a useful tool for estimating part cost and the

first such solution integrated within a CAE application.

-- Specific Resin Database now offers nearly 5,000 fully

characterized resins. With C-MOLD's Resin Builder(TM), the

Specific Resin Database allows users unlimited access to more than

20,000 commercially available polymer choices for injection

molding.

-- Drag/Delete Injection Points allows users to drag injection

points to new locations or delete injection points individually.

-- Improved simulation accuracy is most apparent for parts with

highly complex geometry and those with living hinges.

-- Simulation Stop command can stop or relaunch a simulation at user

discretion.

-- Improved graphics capabilities allow users to choose

transparent model displays. Gouraud shading is employed to obtain

very smooth part shading. Background screen color and text color

can be customized using a color pallet.

-- Direct printing allows user to send graphics directly to a

printer instead of printing to a file first. A wider number of

print-file formats are supported including BMP, GIF, JPEG,

PostScript, and TIFF.

3D QuickFill 99.1 is scheduled to ship in November 1998.

Pricing: C-MOLD has led the way in desktop plastics CAE with a consistent
pricing policy that supports industry trends toward PC and network
computing. 3D QuickFill is available as a node locked license for $4,900
per seat. A floating license for networks is available for $6,900.
