I was quite surprised at this estimate for
the price of producing RP parts at SBs.

We outsource to a number of SBs
(SLS, SLA, LOM, FDM) around Australia
and pay much less than that, probably because
it our exchange rate is only $A1 = $US 0.65.

My experience with pricing of SLS (in $US)
from Australia is more like:

Inside 7"x7" Bounding Box - $ 170/ vertical inch
Inside 10"x12" Bounding Box - $ 225/ vertical inch
Typical very large SLA model (48"x24") - $ 2500

This might mean it could be a lot cheaper to get RP parts
made here, even allowing for the air freight (it takes
about 2 days to ship from here to the US).

Anybody wanting more exact quotes on specific projects,
I'm happy to receive CAD files by e-mail and advise
pricing.
