Hello World,

Can anyone out there point me in the direction of some descent software
or anyone that could assist me in my quest to simulate the flow of
molten aluminium (LM24) through a laminated H13 pressure die-cast die
(cold chamber set up). We have conducted extensive physical tests with
laminated dies on our own Frech 125, but would like to see if we can
model the flow of molten aluminium through a laminated die and observe
any deflection /resonance that may occur in individual laminate
features. Each time we look into this we normally end up abandoning our
efforts due to its complexity. Setting boundary conditions for a
rapidly cooling body of aluminium as it moves through a die gets
interesting. Other limitations include a low budget and if there is
software out there, will it run on a P5/200.
