First International SolidWorks User Conference to be Held in Palm Springs;
Hundreds of Users Gather to Participate in Technical Sessions and Exhibits
at SolidWorks World (Business Wire; 01/18/99)

CONCORD, MASS. (Jan. 18) BUSINESS WIRE -Jan. 18, 1999--SolidWorks
Corporation, the leading provider of cost-effective, easy-to-use production
solid modeling solutions for the mainstream design-centric market, today
announced its first international user conference. SolidWorks World brings
together designers, engineers, managers, and partners to shape the future
of mechanical design. The three-day event will take place February 3-6,
1999 at the Palm Springs Convention Center in Palm Springs, CA. Major
sponsors of the event include Compaq, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Intergraph
Computer Systems, Microsoft, Renderview Software, Silicon Graphics, and
Solid Solutions.

SolidWorks World will provide attendees with more than 70 technical
sessions, access to SolidWorks Solution Partner products, one-on-one
technical sessions with SolidWorks professionals, and the opportunity to
hear keynote addresses from major industry users including Halliburton
Energy Services, IDEO, Ingersoll Milling, and Sandia National Labs. Session
topics range from "Consumer Product Design with CAD" to "SolidWorks(R) Tips
and Tricks." A keynote highlight will demonstrate SolidWorks' impact on
Furby, the #1 toy of the year. The session will be presented by Furby
co-creator, Caleb Chung, and SolidWorks' CEO, Jon K. Hirschtick.

Attendees will be able to participate in the SolidWorks Certified
Professional program. The SolidWorks Certified Professional Program
establishes an industry standard by which all SolidWorks professionals can
be evaluated.

The exhibition will showcase organizations that have created products that
work with SolidWorks software, to provide their customers with
"best-in-class" solutions. New solutions featured include product data
management (PDM), analysis, manufacturing, animation, and rapid
