Chris,

You will need to review the mechanical properties in relation to the built in stresses from the resin system. The thermal properties of the matrix will limit the performance of the final part.

Be cautious about the laser energy causing local heating on the surface of the fibers. You will have to achieve full cure if the part is opaque.

Is this a defined fiber orientation with a low volume fraction or are you looking at using short chopped strand to aim for isotropic properties? In the latter case the fiber length will have to be a function of the layering thickness to prevent the fibers being X-Y with no Z.
