I would advise against importing large point cloud data directly into ProE.
Our experience with many solid modelers is that they cannot handle the overhead
of 500,000 points. Therefore its better to try to convert them into NURB surfaces
before bringing into the solid modeler.

Now as you know there are many commercial systems available. Ofcourse our own research
is also in the area but we dont have any relesaed software yet. But we would be
willing to give it a shot.
