Rhino and SolidWorks?

A press release today about a new release of Rhino included the
following postscript

>SOLIDWORKS PARTNER PROGRAM
>
>March 1, 1999, Robert McNeel & Associates joined the
>SolidWorks Partner Program. We are now working closely with
>the SolidWorks team to improve the connection between
>SolidWorks and Rhino.

Can someone please explain how Rhino and SolidWorks would work together?
I have thought of them as competing products.

    Thank you.
