Dear LOM Users:

The University of Dayton is developing an Expert System to assist LOM users
in the selection of initial operating parameters for the LOM machine. We
are requesting your help with an on-line user survey. Please go to the
following web site to fill out the survey and obtain more detailed
information: www.udri.udayton.edu/RPDL/LOM_survey.htm

An expert system is a form of artificial intelligence that will help LOM
users take advantage of the collective experience of all LOM users
everywhere, including new knowledge being developed on advanced materials
for LOM. The overall goal is to help LOM users make better parts with less
trial-and-error, especially new LOM users or those working with a new
material. Participants in this survey will benefit by receiving early full
disclosure of the study's findings.
