DEARBORN, Mich. -- May 17, 1999 -- Bolstered by this year's attendance
of 2,065, the Rapid Prototyping & Manufacturing (RP&M) Conference and
Exposition is returning to the Rosemont Convention Center for the new
millennium -- April 11-13, 2000. RP&M '99 topped its predicted goal of
1600.

PMMA/SME PRESENTS FIRST PRODUCT CONCEPT AWARD
Award Recognizes Innovative Design And Unique Application
DEARBORN, Mich. -- May 17, 1999 -- The Plastic Molders and
Manufacturer's Association of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers
(PMMA/SME) has granted its first Product Concept Award to the Xerox
paper path nip shaft. The award recognizes the unique use of the part
void as a channel for injecting a second material, an elastomer, through
the part. This is the first functional use of the gas injection cavity
in a part.
