Personally, I like the term Fabber. I also like 3D printing, though like
stereolithography, it has a commercial bias to it, even though no one
"owns" the name. I've often told people that these technologies are the
infant stage of Star Trek replicators. The positive aspect of
"replicators" is that everyone knows what they are, because of star
trek. Obviously a problem with "replicators" is that it sounds too
science fiction and perhaps someone owns this name/term.
