Many thanks to all who responded to my question earlier regarding the new
platform lock for our SLA-5000. After much consideration, I decided to ask
3DSystems' FE to install the new lock while they were here today.

Too bad!

It became evident upon installation of the new device that it was not going
to clear the side panel in the chamber when the platform is lowered. We
eased it down, just to be sure. It hit the side panel.

Therefore, needless to say, the spring latch is back on there........
