Carsten and all,

I think Carsten has a good idea about a news group. I'm surprised that
others haven't commented on this. I also think it's time for us to think
about establishing a professional association, one that is broader than the
current groups or sub-groups to include everyone involved in solid imaging
technologies.

this mailing list, also containing discussions about alternatives. Another
possible way could be the creation of a RP-related newsgroup in the usenet,
similar for example to sci.virtual-worlds or sci.engr.micromachining (just
as examples...). Using a newsreader (almost every mail-program like
Netscape, MS IExplorer/Outlook express, Pegasus etc. supports that),
everyone could read the messages without getting them personally as email in
his inbox. The readers also include downloading or sorting/viewing by
thread, sender, subject, date and so on.

am not a real expert about newegroups and their creation. However, maybe
someone has an opinion about it....
