Thank you for the tip. Years ago 3D indicated that DOS was the problem and I accepted that as fact. I'll have to play around with that and see what happens. I'll try to remember to uplate the list once I give it a try.

3D, is there any other reason why we would not want to change this parameter setting in DOS?

There is no 20 file limit in DOS. The maximum number of open files is
set with the FILES= parameter in the config.sys. I have known applications
which required FILES to be set to 60 or 80. Either DOS has not been
configured appropriately, or Lightyear has a problem. So, increase the FILES
and see what happens.
